Look, Tony is no saint (unlike his father), the infidelity and criminal lifestyle doesn’t make for a perfect spouse. Upon first watch, I couldn’t help but pity her. Now, however, I find Carmella’s complicity in it all, false shroud of religion, and rampant materialism to be nearly insufferable at times.

I always found this line admirable because it really shows how much Paulie has accepted his lot in life and has an accurate view of himself. He may not be the top brain in the family, which is probably why he was never considered for boss despite his seniority, but he has a refreshingly accurate self image in a group full of narcissists.
