What is the movie Eye See You about?

Based on a novel by Clinton Howard Swindle, who wrote the screenplay, Eye See You concerns an alcoholic FBI agent who travels to a remote rehab facility after a serial killer targets his fiancé e. The cast is relatively impressive, and also includes Tom Berenger, Sean Patrick Flanery, Robert Patrick and Kris Kristofferson. The story, however, is not. The same killer appears to target visitors at the rehab, which caters exclusively to law enforcement. Rife with nonsensical editing and bad dialogue but largely free of excitement and suspense, Eye See You should have remained on the shelf.

Is 5.1 DTS HD good?

The 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio mix is decent if somewhat anemic. There is some moderate environmental ambience, and a couple of the more action-heavy scenes make good use of the surrounds and LFE. Dialogue is clear and without distortion, and the score is layered appropriately. English LPCM 2.0 and French 5.1 Dolby Digital mixes are included, as are English and Spanish subtitles.

Is the movie "The Last Jedi" on Blu Ray?

The film makes its Blu-ray debut via the MVD Marquee Collection. The 2.35:1/1080p/AVC-encoded transfer is obviously culled from an older master, but at least the grain is largely intact. Fine-object detail and texture are decent, as are skin tones and contrast. Much of the film takes place in dimly lit, snowy and grungy environments, and that leads to plenty of black crush, a bit of motion blur and some heavy noise. The film has an overall flat appearance, and the lack of clarity definitely recalls early Blu-ray masters. There is also noticeable dirt and debris throughout, but at least the edge enhancement is kept to a minimum.

Storyline

FBI agent Jake Malloy just can't nail a serial killer who's been targeting cops. The killer has already killed nine cops. Not only does the killer despise policemen, but he also has a grudge against Malloy for pursuing him during a string of prostitute murders four years ago.

Did you know

After the movie was finished in 1999, Universal Studios decided to screen it to a test audience. All the screenings of the first cut got very bad reactions, and the film was then shelved while re-shoots and story changes were being done.

By what name was D-Tox (2002) officially released in Canada in English?

What is the Work?

Eye See You/D-Tox is a 2001 psychological thriller film directed by Jim Gillespie, who's also known for directing I Know What You Did Last Summer. The film stars Sylvester Stallone as protagonist, FBI Agent Jake Malloy who is on the hunt for a serial killer who targets cops.

Who is He?

The unnamed killer (Also known as Common Denominator/The Cop Killer/Slater) is a psychopathic sadist who believes that it's in his nature and is his duty to kill people that are weaker than him.

What Has He Done?

The killer first targeted prostitutes in what he called "removing diseased filth." He murdered 6 of them with a razor, but when Malloy was given the case, he got too close to discovering his identity. This is apparently what triggered the killer's rage and obsession towards Malloy.

Redeeming Qualities

Absolutely none. While he does have some moments as Slater, it's all just an act to get people to trust him and to avoid suspicion. He doesn't show any genuine compassion or remorse for anything, and is willingly and gleefully happy to kill his fellow patients.

Heinous Standards

He's the only real villain of the film, so he sets it. There are other antagonists in the film like Jack Bennett who killed his commanding officer in North Korea and is nothing but an asshole to the patients. But, that murder was off-screen and Jack's murdered himself by Slater.

Verdict

Pretty easy yes for me. Oh, and I should probably mention, he's already under the category, I just wanted to make this official.

Fun Fact

Remember how I mentioned The Party Crasher? Well, the actor who played him is in this movie as well. He plays the jerkass rehab worker, Jack Bennett. So, this means Slater technically murdered The Party Crasher.
