When you’re referred to one of our cardiologists, you’ll receive consultation, diagnostic testing, and treatment locally. That treatment may include other sub-specialties, inpatient cardiology services, pacemakers, and the like.

What is phase 1 in cardiac rehabilitation?

Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase I occurs while a person is hospitalized for a cardiac event or procedure associated with coronary artery disease, valvular disease, or cardiac muscle dysfunction . Staff monitors patients as they gradually progress their activity and exercise performance, early after their event or procedure. The specially trained cardiac rehabilitation staff assist the patient in identifying their cardiovascular disease risk factors and provide education to assist them in making healthy lifestyle choices upon discharge from the hospital
