I've worked at both, and hospital work is better in every way. Nursing homes operate on much tighter budgets and this shows up in a variety of ways. The problem with hospitals is, if you have no experience or connections, you may find you can't get a job at one. Apply broad and apply repeatedly, but don't be surprised if you get zero interviews.
