100 days sober!!

I'm just taking it a day at a time. It's still an uphill journey but I feel a little more relief each day. It's worth the effort and perseverance.

Got the job!! So glad to be sober today!

I’ve (40 f) been sober for just over a year, and my life has changed so much through this program. I lost my job a few months ago and have been in a hard place emotionally. This program kept me sober, and going to meetings kept me sane.

I reached 30 days today!.. 30 days... Now what?

30 days, 30 days and I’m here posting in hopes to keep my sanity. I notice my urges within 2 weeks, and it’s hard to stay sober. I’m not gonna sit here and lie and say it gets easier. It doesn’t, especially when everyone around is drinking and it’s just the norm. I feel like an outsider again.

I went to my first AA meeting yesterday..

I feel like it’s helpful - but as I was hiding alcoholism from everyone, so now I’m hiding AA too. And I just feel all this shame and guilt.

My first meeting

I attended my first meeting today. Was feeling so low. I am so grateful for the meetings. I know they’ll really help me through this journey.

60 days today

Just wanted to throw this out there for the rest of the noobs to sobriety.

9 Months Sober

Well I made it to 9 months, which is quite an accomplishment for someone that didn't have more than a day or two in 20 years. I still have a long way to go since I did so much damage to my brain over the years. It is getting better, and I have to remember how bad it was at the end, especially when I start romanticizing.
