A typical day at Monarch starts off with an early breakfast followed by the first group session at 8 am and the rest of the day is filled with hourly groups or therapy sessions and a daily 12-step meeting with breaks for lunch and dinner. On the weekends, recreation activities are planned, movies are made available, there are visitation hours, GED classes are offered and there are NA/AA meetings. The groups and therapy sessions during a weekday consist of individual therapy, parenting classes, relapse prevention, relationship building, family sessions, nutrition education, loss counseling, stress management, recovery skills and women’s issues.
