IU and Voc Rehab

hi everyone. i have a quick question about my confusing situation. i was awarded 80% SC on august 2013. 70% ptsd, 10% tinnitus, 10% spinal, 10% right knee, 0% tbi, 0% left knee. i applied for IU on october 2013. my VA county rep also helped me out by putting me in for voc rehab. i got approved for school under voc rehab on november 2013.

I did attend college and get a degree while in V.A. Vocational Rehabilitation. My V.A. councelor told me in the beginning that if I could not complete the rehabilitation due to my disabilities, then I would need to re-open my claim.

I'm in the same boat

Can you please update what happened in your case? My VocRehab couselor says you cannot receive both; one will cancel out the other. Makes sense but my County Veteran's Service Officer says you can. I can see why it would be contradictory BUT my SCD is also mental health related, currently at 70% awaiting IU decision.

Due to fear of being undone or making errors that contradict the herd mentality, counselors err on the side of caution , at least to them, by drafting vague denial letters.
