People work as an aide coming from all types of educational backgrounds. Dress nicely to at least give the impression that you're bringing more to the table than the other applicants. (on a separate note, expect to wear khakis/polo, or scrubs on a day to day basis :).

How to dress as a PT?

Here's my take as a PT:#N#If you want to be taken seriously, a shirt and tie is certainly appropriate. If you want to be taken seriously and want them to expect you to contribute (help with exercises, set up equipment, etc), dress nicely. If you want to be treated as a grunt and do little more than clean tables and bring patients back to the gym/eval room/whatever, go casual.#N#People work as an aide coming from all types of educational backgrounds. Do you need a suit for an interview in NYC?

In the actual job you'll dress fairly casual but I'd dress up more for the interview. I wouldn't over do it though. A three piece suit isn't necessary even in NYC but a nice shirt, slacks and shined shoes are appropriate as well as the tie.
