We provide funding to both non-profit and for-profit developers to renovate dilapidated/abandoned properties or develop vacant land with an emphasis on safe, decent, and affordable housing primarily for low and moderate income persons.

We offer information, direction, and technical assistance to developers, builders, neighborhood organizations, non-profits, individual citizens, and property owners who partner with CDA to produce quality affordable housing in the City of St. Louis.
Supportive Housing
Our supportive housing program has helped us assist over 400 former foster youth with gaining the knowledge, skills and supports needed to prepare for their exit from foster care. We DO NOT currently have an active contract to provide these services. Please check here periodically for updates on our availability for our Independent Living Program.

Affordable housing will improve the health and wealth of a region. Ensuring equity: Affordable housing is a way to change patterns of racial and economic injustices such as disinvestment that have been present and continue to pervade our region.

Research shows that affordable housing projects increase property values in low-income areas and reduce crime rates . The AHTF eradicates lead from homes, and all homes funded by the AHTF are lead safe. Lead exposure has been linked to crime, antisocial behavior in children, and reduced academic performance.
