Is Orchard Park a good place to work?

Orchard Park was a great place to work. The employees were compassionate, the managers acknowledged the employees efforts and hard work. The facility was nice and clean. The food was better than most long term care facilities. The nursing staff was amazing. There was a no tolerance policy for drama. Everyone was able to put aside their differences long enough to provide safe and effective care for the residents. The hardest part of the job was not being able to fix everything or make all the residents happy.. The most enjoyable part was knowing that everyday I was there I made a difference in all the residence life that I came encounter with. I was able to be of assistance to them to help make and keep them comfortable or even make them feel at home.

There’s very little communication In the place , I ended up not knowing what would happen because there was no communication , very stressful - sometimes you ended with more than 15 residents , no help from management either .

Just awful!!

Bad place. Managers don't care about staffing nor residents. They pack the place up with residents but no staffing. Always understaffed and still dealing with covid.

Mean and lazy crew

Coworkers are very difficult to work with. Constantly understaffed, leaving the few present to be over worked and without help. And if you complain , then you're the problem and will be let go

Our staff feels like a family-people will always support you

There is never a dull moment here-Everyone from kitchen staff, dietary staff, CNA's, Nursing, and management all work together to ensure that the residents feel like they are at home. I feel very valued.

Poor management as well as staffing needs Reforms

With the abuse I've seen only working 2 days here I am ashamed of having to waste my time where I feel as if I am constantly abusing the Residents because of the number of tasks I have to do in such a short time. The rooms were very pretty, but that was shadowed by the filthy chairs and bed the residents used.

Great place to work

Loved it! Nice facility to work at. Great co-worker. Would love to go back it I get a chance. Lot of experience you get from them. Clean facility and the pay is good.

Poorly managed with awful treatment from employees

When I volunteered here I could tell from the beginning that nobody actually enjoyed working there. It wasn't a good learning experience nor a good work experience.
