Understaffed and overworked

I was employed here for about 8 years, we were often understaffed and made to stay for 16 hour shifts. It was almost impossible to provide appropriate care to the residents as I would have up to 20 patients to care for by myself.

Overworked

Remodeling facility to give resident better experience; dedicated rehab facility; excellent physical and occupational therapy department; experienced nurses and give 100% to their residents; scheduling does their best to accomodate requests for days off; fair price for full-time employee benefits; training for new employees is very complete - not rushed with lots of time to shadow experienced employees; spa facility for resident's staffed by licensed cosmotologist; music therapy; hairdresser on staff.

OVER WORKED UNDER PAID

Schedules are consistent, breaks are always given, HR is on top of benefits, electronic check stubs, friendly maintenance staff, nice remodels

Rewarding

It is rewarding working with the residents and feeling like you make a difference in their lives. It is also stressful especially during the time of COVID-19. Everyone needs to wear many hats at this place

Productive place to work, fun employees

I enjoy working here we are never short on briefs or wash clothes and things to care for residents. Everything is fully stocked, working short staffed is all to common. but we get through it.

Ok for temporary employment

Not very family oriented and not too strict on employer/employee confidentiality. Gossip is expected but it didn’t take long to be pushed out of a position based on an outsiders (or multiple) opinions

Work place

Always have hours, nice place to work, nice staff, warm environment. I enjoyed working here when I did. Marwood treats their staff great and if I was still a CNA I would choose to work thee.

a solid 4 out of 5 stars

a work day stared at 7am and ended by 7:30pm you served 3 meals a day to the residents. You stocked the fridge did dished stocked the cupboards and cabinets. You also wiped down, swept, and mopped the dinning area between every meal. Then you had 2 half hour breaks.

Compassionate, caring coworkers

Marwood is a great place to work! There are many valuable perks to working at a 5 star facility! The care goes beyond what is expected and the staff are always gping above and beyond! Great benefits, great location, great culture!

Poor Management

I'd stay far away from marwood. The managers are rue, you get called in last minute, you are sometimes required to work over because of low CNA ratio to residents. I loved my residents and saw other CNAs being rude to them when management was told they just said oh well were short staffed.
