I like my location, team, generous PTO, flexible work schedule. Bad company, pay, benefits, advancement opportunities

My team is excellent. Divide between rehab and nursing. Poor pay. No raises. Poor medical insurance. Adequate dental and vision. Unpaid lunches. Short staffed constantly. Inadequate support from administration.

Burnout expected across the board

I worked as a rehab tech and was promoted to rehab office coordinator where I took on the jobs of the assistant program manager and program manager. I was paid poorly but expected to work hard. The max I was able to make hourly was $16.90 an hour and that was all they would offer regardless of my job duties.

No value for employees as actual humans

Will cut your salary as a per diem without notifying you. No real value for you as a human; you’re just a warm body with a license. Due to this, make sure to negotiate salary and get it in writing.

Overworked and underappreciated

The company requirements and teams have changed frequently since the initial vaccine mandate came though. No additional compensation or appreciation for employees that got vaccinated and stayed at the company, just got extra work and extra responsibilities without additional compensation or even appreciation.

Fair productivity standards

I believe the management does care about the patients and supports you as far as education to provide quality therapy and when you have a care related concern. Of course as with any for profit business the profit is necessary over the care of the staff. Meaning you can get hours cut, loose benefits if your contract ends, etc.

Great coworkers but overall lack support, appreciation, and consideration for employees, unrealistic expectations

I worked for Genesis Rehab Services for a little over a year and felt a complete lack of support and appreciation from upper management. No matter how much effort put into the job and caring for the patients nothing was ever good enough.

Depends on your DOR

For clinical staff, your happiness will greatly depend on your Rehab Director. If you’re thinking about working for Genesis, meet with the DOR and the rehab staff and follow your gut.

What is total productivity?

Using Total Productivity that includes all your billable and non-billable time in a day is much more realistic. Since this method accounts for 100% of the time charged by the therapist, clinic managers can see productivity based on total time paid and make assessments of worth from a better vantage point.

What is the importance of both perspectives in a clinic?

Both perspectives are crucial to the functioning and profitability of the clinic. The word “productivity” is not a term favored by most therapists. Therapists are concerned with patient goals.
