How long has UNM Carrie Tingley Hospital been treating children?

Carrie Tingley Hospital (CTH) is the only pediatric rehabilitation hospital in New Mexico and conducts more than 21 specialized clinics ranging in emphasis from brain and spinal cord injuries to development and neurological conditions to juvenile arthritis and clinical genetics. CTH also provides numerous therapy rooms, Gait labs, wheelchair evaluations and braces or prosthetics.

The CTH Advisory Board is composed of up to nine members, at least three of whom are parents of children with disabilities and/or special chronic health care needs and at least two of whom are health professionals.

About Your Visit

When you bring your child in for an appointment, our pediatric professionals will speak with a parent or family member. We will review your child’s medical records. Then, we may give your child a or neuropsychological exam for proper diagnosis.
