The first option in designing a vocational rehabilitation plan is always to get you back to work with your previous employer as quickly as possible. This lessens the need for training or other services and helps you continue your career with your previous employer. However, even though reemployment with the previous employer is our first option, we cannot force your previous employer to offer you a position. If you are unable to return to work with your previous employer, a return-to-work plan aimed at a placement with a new employer will be considered.

Is retraining an automatic process?
Retraining is not automatic. When developing a return-to-work plan in conjunction with your counselor, it will be determined whether training is necessary for you to obtain employment. Training may be considered if placement with your previous employer is not possible and there is an increased ability to earn significantly higher wages with training.

Stressful place to work but worthwhile helping the disable
The purpose of the job is great helping the disabled to locate work. however, management is unprofessional and base work ethics and performance on personal feelings. This includes the immediate supervisor who is unprofessional with the dress code and actions.
Needs new management
As long as the current Supervisor is there, Vocational Rehab will suffer greatly. The Reno Supervisors are not that great either. They only look at their own interests.
Multi tasking is needed for this fast paced job
Vocational Rehab has a very positive work environment. Helping others is very motivating and a top priority in this organization. Every client has a very individualized plan to help them succeed. Employees are praised and given positive feedback on their work. Raises are much needed but not issued at this time.

The work load was plenty but it was always doable. The staff was amazing. In my opinion they were more than just a staff they were family. Management was great, the culture was good. We all collaboratively did the work and helped each other out several times with coverage.
