Our program prepares young men with addiction and mental health diagnoses to better engage in a sober and recovered lifestyle. Jaywalker’s continuum of care consists first of arrival into the Landing. Here, we assess new clients while slowly integrating them into our open community model of care.#N#When a client transitions to The Lodge, he will work with a primary counselor, participate in group therapy, and be introduced to the twelve steps. We believe that our open community model of care and our clients’ regular exposure to mountain-based activities is crucial to this stage of their recovery.#N#Clients will then transition to the Solutions program. Here, clients are provided with a real-world treatment setting. With continued support from their counselor and the community, clients are encouraged to re-engage in life, pursuing either a vocational or educational track. In this stage, therapeutic support is maintained and is key to navigating the obstacles that come with these transitions. Expeditions and mountain-based activities are continued in this level of care.#N#In the final stage of our continuum, clients will move to one of our sober living houses, and will attend two outpatient groups per week. They will work with an outpatient counselor, and are further encouraged to launch into sustainable independent living. Upon graduation from sober living, clients will be encouraged to maintain full time employment or enrollment in college and a commitment to the twelve steps.
