How to apply for VR?

To apply for VR, you need to call one of our offices to request an application. This needs to be completed along with release of information forms which will allow the VR counselor to gather information on your disability. Applications can be returned to your local VR office.

How long does it take for a DVR to process a request?

If you decide that you want to go through one of these procedures, DVR must receive your request within thirty (30) days after DVR informs you of the decision with which you disagree. In any of these procedures, you have a right to bring a representative (for example, a CAP advocate, an attorney, a family member, etc.).
