Good pay but very high productivity expectations

Pay was very good, but I had to wait 8 months to get my non-retroactive raise when I took the DOR position. Management could be very micromanaging and overly-focused on revenue, but when my daughter had health issues at 7 weeks of age, the regional was very supportive.

Patient care has been replaced with profit margins

This company is what is wrong with healthcare in America. Every day I strive to provide the very best care. I respect my patients and put in the effort to gain their trust. My patients are happy and they return because of great therapy. Upper management harasses you daily, you really can’t win if you’re an ethical therapist.

The company is very profit driven, not looking out for taking care of its' employees

the hardest part of the job was maintaining unrealistic productivity %.

Great place to work

Fair, multiple locations able to get hours. Little stress and flexible schedule. No paid Holidays. Great co-workers. Benefits good with good work life balance

Fair for the current state of therapy

This is a strange company to review because it is in a strange field right now. Sure, the pay is okay for the type of work it is in comparison to other large rehab companies, but you are more likely to get a pay cut than a pay raise. Pay raises are unheard of in my circle. Then there is the COVID handling, if you are sick, hope you have PTO.

You will have daily struggles with the company for ethical delivery of care

You will be hindered with clinical decision making at most corners, length of treatment, daily schedules, productivity. This was a good facility until Select took over.

Ok place to work

Inwould only work for this company if absolutely needed. The management and benefits are outrageous. No one is there to help you when needed. No support.

Not horrible but definitely not the best

This is the second time I have worked for this company, there are never any raises, you have to fight incredibly hard for a raise and they usually deny and say they have people wanting to work all the time, but I can never get prn coverage. The people I work with are good and easy to get along with but I do not recommend the company.

Best rehab company so far

I’ve been working for a year with Select and overall it’s been a good experience. Management has been supportive and the compensation is excellent. Overall great team to work with.

Fair pay but micro manage

Fair pay but not much support from upper management. Rarely get a ‘thank you’ from regional/corporate. I love my co-coworkers and that was the main reason I stayed with them. Benefits is expensive.

They withhold payments

During a covid outbreak at my facility We in rehab were asked to help the nurses on the floor for which we were promised an additional 30% pay differential. Upon pay day they did not pay the differential. When questioned they said it was put in a fund for pto which was not agreed too

Pay is pretty good but no benefits

Happy with pay but you don’t get paid holidays or any sick time. You just accrue PTO as a full timer. Management is nice and doesn’t micro manage but they have no training and just throw you into the job. Disorganized company. I don’t get feeling SR cares about their employees or quality patient care.

Company is mediocre

The pay will depend on how much you are needed at the time of hire, much like other companies. They are losing contracts but still hiring so they often hire therapists for one building and then send them all over.

Indeed Featured review

Limited sense of teamwork and some of their facilities have very poor moral. While other facilities have a true “ family” atmosphere I’m sure the attitude is a direct reflection of DORs and Regional managers interaction with employees.

Flexible schedule and good management

Great work environment and everyone works together as a team. Benefits could be better. Requires good time management skills in order to stay productive

Regional managers only care about revenue not patients

Regional managers clueless about day to day operations in an actual facility. More concerned about 92% productivity (that’s 55.2 min of every hour being billable patient time) which means working off the clock for most staff 1-2 hours daily.

Interactive disciplinary staff. Friendly with flexible schedule

I give select rehab 10/10 stars on flexible work schedule, caring attitude towards their employees during the pandemic. Friendly working environment.

OK for new Rehab Grads, but be warned..

This is still a "Corporate" company. In two years I've worked for them fresh out of school, I have only been given one review and no pay increase. During Covid19 pandemic the pays were cut down, as well as hours due to the director was completely inexperienced and had ZERO management background.

Cons

No breaks, Highly unrealistic productivity demands, and failing computers.

Co-workers are very supportive

I learned so much from collaboration with staff. Management was not supportive at all, though, unfortunately. Scheduling was completely disorganized, which led to lost income. It was a high-stress work environment in a dilapidated building.
