How old do you have to be to get into a rehab program?
The applicant must be a male at least 18 years old. He must require assistance recovering from drug, alcohol and other addiction issues. He must be willing to engage in and experience a positive life change. He must be willing to commit to a full year in the program.
What is the New Life program?
The New Life Program is a yearlong residential men’s addiction recovery program. By addressing all aspects of your character and providing a Biblical foundation, the goal is that you would get clean and gain all of the skills necessary to thrive in everyday life.
What do residents learn in a college?
Residents improve reading, grammar and math skills, and learn basic computer operation. If necessary, men are able to obtain a GED and prepare for higher education opportunities. Classes in life skills supplement academic learning.
What is the purpose of a Bible study?
The goal is for each man to be able to live the rest of his life with solid biblical understanding as he journeys through recovery with a relationship with Jesus Christ. A volunteer mentor helps with spiritual support as well.

Who is Terry from Springs Rescue Mission?
Terry started with the Springs Rescue Mission in March of 2013 after 31 years in the private and public sectors of the Information Technology industry. He led sales, support and engineering teams serving business clients throughout Southern Colorado. Terry has held volunteer leadership and board positions in a number of church, nonprofit and community organizations. He currently serves on the board of Cadence International, a Christian non-profit ministering to U.S. and foreign military members around the world. He attends Discovery Church. Terry has a B.S. in Biblical Education from Multnomah University, a Graduate Certificate from UCCS in Nonprofit Management and a M.S. in Human Resource Management from Chapman University.

The Mission is NOT a shelter or transitional housing facility. This unique, no-cost, 11-17 month residential (spiritually based) recovery program helps men by providing recovery and rehab in a safe structured environment.

Why do we have a donation drive?
Hosting a donation drive at your office, church or in your neighborhood is a great way to raise awareness in our community about homelessness and poverty. In addition, donation drives help keep our costs down and provide much-needed items for our guests and clients.
What items are needed for winter?
Donations of coats, hats, and gloves are needed during the winter months. Housewares. Items essential to setting up a small home – such as pots and pans, lamps, dishes, glassware, bedspreads, etc. – are accepted according to immediate need.
Why is it important to have a clean set of clothes?
Having a clean set of clothes is often the first step toward restoring a man or women’s sense of dignity. We need quality clothing and shoes of all sizes for men and women. Clothing that would be suitable for casual, restaurant or construction type of work is needed to support our work initiatives.

What is substance rehab?
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
What is a sober living house?
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
What is aftercare in rehab?
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
What is an outpatient program?
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
What is group therapy?
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
