You really do find out who your friends are
When tou have something catastrophic happen to you tou find out real fast who actually cares. Its a fucked up way to find out but if your situation becomes dire you really will appreciate the people who are willing to atick it out with yourhrough the bad times.
Found my Dad in his apt...he had laid there for 13 hours
Before I found him- Last contact was Saturday Aug 15th at 1130pm. Wasnt answering texts or calls the next late morning, we were to go hang out at Carter caves for his grandsons birthday. My brother drove to his apt and dads truck was there. He knocked ans banged to answer. I got there about 2 minutes after him and kicked the door in.
My 58 year old stage four cancer survivor father had a stroke yesterday due to chronic issues from radiation therapy... I need advice
I am not sure of the exact details as everything has been a blur. I was camping in northern Michigan when my mom called me and told me my father had a stroke. My boyfriend and I, after I had a panic attack on the side of the road, packed up and drove four hours straight to the hospital. He is doing well and recovering, but his speech is affected.
My mom is 56 and had bilateral frontal lobe strokes
A small one Saturday (misdiagnosed with anemia and sent home with an iron supplement Rx) and a larger one Monday. Right carotid almost totally occluded, left partially. She also has a GI bleed which was preventing them from treating the block with blood thinners post-surgery, but they got that plugged up yesterday (thank God).
Focus and confusion after massive stroke
Hi everyone. My mom (62, physician, best person I've known) had a massive stroke (left hemisphere). She had ruptured aneurysm, after which she was recovering just fine for 5d, but vasospasm on 6th day got big portion of her left hemisphere. It's been 4 months.
