I was coming back from my run and found an obviously hurt adult robin. Its wing was broken, but it was still quick on its feet, running around an irrigation ditch. I initially made the excuse in my head 'I cant catch it- its an adult, and the ditch is next to a road. Itll run into the road and die anyways'.
