Failed classes
This will be my 3rd class failed due to my service connected disability (mental) at this point I just want to drop the program because it’s adding unneeded stress to my life….I know if you drop a class you have to pay the money back, but do I have to pay the money back if I failed the classes and stop registering for classes? I plan on contacting my counselor next week, just want to figure out the best course of action before I speak with her.

I am sorry but I'm not sure where I should be putting this. So I decided to put it here. This technically deals with vocational rehabilitation. I am having difficulty concentrating and it appears that the way that the Voc Rehab setup has been having me take their classes and testing is not conducive to my style of learning.
Starting Farm with VR&E
I've been looking over VR&E information all weekend and all I've really seen on using this program for farming is to do a co-op.

I looked at my rating on eBenefits Friday morning and I went from 60% to 100%p&t. This changes everything for me and allows myself and my spouse to focus on other things (recovery) instead of the constant stress that comes with financial insecurities.

What happens if a veteran does not complete the rehabilitation program?
With certain exceptions, if a Veteran does not complete the planned rehabilitation program, the Veteran must repay the value of the supplies that VA provided. The value of supplies authorized by VA will be repaid under the provisions of this section when a Veteran fails to complete the program as planned.
What is a VR&E officer?
memorandum to the RO Director through the VR&E Officer must be prepared for review and concurrence prior to authorizing the purchase of a firearm. The VR&E Officer is responsible for reviewing the entire CER folder, the current VA service-connected and nonservice-connected disability ratings, and any pending claims for disability. The VR&E Officer must use the checklist, Appendix AZ, Review Prior to Purchase of Firearms, to identify and address any issues that could warrant disapproval of the purchase. Examples of disability conditions which warrant sufficient documentation to resolve any doubt of the appropriateness of the handling of firearms includes neuropsychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia, major depression, and bipolar disorder; other mental health conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety disorder; and the involvement of substance abuse.
What is the VRC?
The VRC is responsible for an ongoing review of any circumstances that may interfere with the successful completion of the Veteran’s rehabilitation program, including any situation that may lead to the revocation of the registration to own or permit to use the firearm.
Does the VA provide protective clothing?

Does VR&E pay for computer maintenance?

What is the role of VR&E?
As stewards of taxpayers' money, VR&E staff are responsible for and held accountable for the appropriate authorization and processing of fiscal transactions. The VRC must ensure correct application of the laws and regulations concerning all fiscal transactions. Fiscal oversight provided within the VR&E Division ensures that the VRC authorizes and processes fiscal transactions with accountability, honesty and good judgment.

My counselor sent a 1905m to the school that listed required books, tuition, and supplies required for the classes (no dollar amount).

Contact your school disability office, and let them know what you feel you need to successfully pass your classes. Depending on what diagnosis you are rated with, you may end up getting so many things from VR&E that you have been denied (printer ink, IPAD for note-taking, printer paper, TI-84plus calculator, and so on). It helped me sooo much.
Recent GAO Report
A recent Governmental Accountability Office (GAO) report addressing VA Voc Rehab concluded the program varied greatly in how counselors implement the program. The agency responded to the critique by promising to study the problem.
