Do I need a medical clearance before coming to New Dawn?
In most cases, no. Our Psychiatrist and/or Addictionoligist can provide the medical clearance that you need during the Admissions process. Our Nurses are also available to assist with the medical evaluation.
Can New Dawn help me if I have a co-occurring disorder?
Yes. Because we have licensed psychologists and therapists on staff, our clinical team has the ability to work with you on identifying and coping with any co-occurring disorders that may be contributing to your addiction or eating disorder.
What if I am on medications? Do I have to stop taking them?
This depends on the medications you are on, and whether or not they are contributing to your addiction or eating disorder. Our Psychiatrist will evaluate your current medications, and prescribe alternate medications for you if necessary to help you in your recovery.
