It's been been 10 years since I worked their, but I thought it was a good job
10 years ago..... Good managers and supervisors, most clients were easy to get along with. Some upset family/friends of clients that liked to yell at me because I couldn't let them enter.

I have been with this company for years and I absolutely LOVE what I do here. I am always treated with respect. Nursing department is a well-oiled machine and the training I got & cont. to get is superior.
You get what you put in
The company is like any other, money comes first, but with the right staff, we pull together to make that less true!!! If you're someone who puts in the bare minimum at work, clients will see that, we are role models for people at the lowest times in their lives, so if you dont have a passion for this kind of work, do everyone a favor and work somewhere else..
Never felt valued as an employee
Not valued as an employee with my own strengths. Only pointed out the weaknesses and was micromanaged. It was just a tough job to balance all the demands of.

Things are improving. Some management are good at their job while folks with zero management capabilities try to lead. Things are growing and becoming more solidified since the transition/buy of acadia.

I've worked at White Deer Run since 2014, and I absolutely love my job! The patients are hands-down the best part, but my coworkers, management, and the overall work environment are top-notch as well! The pay is very competitive (especially for the field), the hours are great, and there are a lot of opportunities for advancement.
Very rewarding
It was very rewarding working in detox. Night-shift was laid back and we were usually able to get work done and ready for 1st shift. Pay could have been much better.
