Nice place to work

Tough job. Extremely taxing. Good management inside facility. Corporate management was lacking in allowing onsite management to run the facility in ways that would better serve residents and employees. HR department not too successful in doing their job well.

Fast paced, challenging, exciting

Days start with a review of potential admissions and discharges/transfers. A rush to prepare patients for therapy. Anticipation of the NP's visit for the day with new orders etc. Meetings with review of skilled days left with D/C planning.

Facility is clean, staff is competent

Working Rehab was stressful for me. I did not feel safe providing care due to acuities of patients with patient/nurse ratio. Orientation was not very good. I was not shown how to use all methods of communication with providers. I would ask for help and I would get 4 different answers from 4 different people. Communication was challenging.

Best Place to work

The staff working for Buckingham's choice was amazing. The employees were young and hard workers. Although, there were some changes in terms of supervisors, the staff always made it work.

a good experience overall

Worked on rehab unit and had close relationship to patients and other nurses. CNA's had issues and needed to be understanding and a bit tolerant with the differences.

My Role as LPN in Rehab

My day consists of taking report from day shift nurse then counting narcotics. I would start off obtaining finger sticks, administering insulin and passing medications to each resident. During my rounds I would obtain vital signs and monitor patient's health status.

Awesome friendly workplace

I love all my co-workers and the environment. I learn so much everyday. The most enjoyable part of my job is watching the patients get better each and everyday as they work with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
